Another disappointing week. Just two weeks ago we were in the hunt for the fourth playoff spot. two 0-8 weeks hace reduced the hunt to a prayer. our league is the ballard fraternal league with the majority of contestants over 50. we’ve struggled as of late. this week not being particularly good. look at my scores. i had the high game all three games this week. pathetic. but it is a long season 33 weeks, we are nearing the end with just six weeks remaining. the smmer break is always refreshing.
well here is the damage this week. i could just never get it going. constantly trying to adjust my throw. it started to come together the last game but at that point it was too late. i can’t decide if it was too many or not enough high life’s.
You consider a 593 series pathetic??
That’s a delicate balancing act I’ve yet to master as well.
Sorry ryan, but the 593 is with the handicap. Otherwise it is 140, 147, 159 or a 446 series.
So are you saying you’re on a scratch league where handicap doesn’t count?
Handicap does count but my average is 155 without the handicap, and I bowled a 140, 147, 159 not exactly the good times I was hoping for.. The handicap is 90% of the difference from 210. (210-155)*.9 = 49. Everybody else obviously gets the handicap. I consider it a successful night if I can bowl 15 pins over my average per game which hasn’t been happening a lot lately. I think my average has peaked at 158 this year. I’ve got about 4 weeks to pull it back up.
