Let’s be honest… the Beard doesn’t get that much action. Sitting at the computer, watching sports on TV and the weekly trip to the bowling alley, where it comes back smelling like a dirty ash tray. I’d like to see the Beard vacuuming, cleaning up dog poop, washing my car.
I think we should start a pool to cut the damn thing off. I’ll put in $200. Start your bidding. FREE the chin!!

don’t worry. In the next couple of days I’m going to put together a few shots of the beard “in action” and try to put together a fundraising drive page to see what i can come up with as far as support for the defense of the american beard grower on the worldwide stage.

I think the all of us would like to have a glimpse of you with braided beard, as well as with a top hat. Get the camera out, and give us some alternative looks. How about colouring? Bluebeard is always a favourite.

I’ve contemplated the Viking/heathen look but also was trying to do an American theme since most the competitors will be European and that territory will be pretty well covered. My initial thoughts are to do a politician/general form the civil war era. They loved their facial hair back then. graham gregg

If you are in Europe, everything is close. Except things that are not in Europe, or at the other end of Europe. And you know that there are certain parts of Europe where beards are illegal.
With a couple of braids it would do nicely for a vikingsatanistheathenlookalikecontest. We have them all the time.

I agree with Mr. Beef. Once you’re in Europe, everything’s close.
Frankly, though, I think we need more modeling shots of the beard in real-world situations. At the coffee house… shopping at the grocery store… a profile shot… those sorts of things. Much like they do with car brochures: The car is parked on the beach, parked in the city, parked on a precipice, parked in a driveway – but ALWAYS parked. A proper modeling portfolio displaying a wide range of emotions could help garner any additional support beyond that of Sack’s.

I realize it is quite a trip between the two but if i’m going to do one then i’m definitely going to do the other regardless of distance.
I’kk begin to formulate a plan of attack. I knew somebody would encourage me. I’ve got a few friends that maybe able to help out once I get over there.
The end of may…..hmmmm.
It is not all about length, style and overall appearance is also a factor. I need to start brainstorming some costume ideas
