pugs

i have yet to post any pictures of our lovely pugs. we acquired tiberious and delilah from the seattle pug rescue society in may 2004. they are currently 7 years old and are quite the terror. the favorite pastimes include licking their lips, barking at moving objects, and cornering small cats. their goal is nothing short of world domination. here are a few pictures of them in action today eating their greenies.

and in two short saturdays! the pug gala! where there will be hundreds of pugs parading around. aaaah, the good times. supposedly they are filming a documentary about pugs and the people who own them, that should be interesting.

    Cute pugs. Are the “greenies” for keeping their pug breath minty fresh?

  2. beef says:

    i think they serve the purpose to enhance the puggies overall general dental hygiene. they are quite entertaining for the pugs. they sit there for about five minutes chewing and licking and then all of a sudden it hits a breaking point and they are gone in about 30 seconds.

  3. E. says:

    Bravo, then. It doesn’t make sense to have pugs if their dental hygiene is being neglected. Because if they are chewing and licking and all that action then they’re maintaining their jaw bone density/strength and, based on the photos, their little paw dexterity, too. It makes me slightly twinge for my own dog – but then I remember that I’m not a loving enough personality to care for pets of the not-fish variety.

    my pug loves greenies, she chews them all till they’re gone and she’s got a teeth and breath!

    What Bohnsack has done from the broken ankle community Beef has done for the Greenie users worldwide. I look forward to this post growing as a greenie support forum.

    I honestly believe that greenies make pugs look cute. And, I love the pics.

  9. Lori says:

    Last summer my pug (charlie) puked up 3/4 of a greenie. I believe he may have swallowed it to keep his pug brother (frank) from stealing it from him. He ended up getting really sick. Off to vet we went…X-ray’s showed traces of greenies, but not large enough to cause harm.
    We still eat greenies, but under strict supervision.

  10. beef says:

    greenies = pug crack.
