Another interesting exercise in the possibilities in mapping. These maps show the breakdown of the different religious grops in the US.

This is a fascinating map. I’m curious how they solicited the information to so-swath the country.

ah, the blue states vs. the red states again.

bah, red/blue – it’s catholic/baptist in the map i’ve shown. click on the maps link to get a breakdown of percentages based on religions.

interesting maps. not exactly an unbiased source though… glenmay’s mission statement: Our Mission –
To establish the Catholic Church in small-town and rural America.
i’d like to see a map of agnostic/athiest population as well. perhaps this is just the inverse of ‘religious adherents’ map… then again, maybe not.

    Beefy B,
It’s been a goodly 2 or 3 weeks since you’ve entered anything worthwhile on your site. it’s arguable if it’s been longer than that. regardless, for those of us trying to keep up with your groovy life, your sporadic postings do not substitute well for the personal visits your fan club prefers. With so much happening here in Jet City, and your (not-so) recent visit to glorious Excremento, you’d think you’d have something to say. Even a link to the Colbert Roast would be nice. Pictures of your hung over wife maybe? Throw us a bone, eh?

Hung over my ass. I was just resting…
