Poor, poor, 300D. I’m sorry I wasn’t quick enough to get out of the way. Sigh, at least you still drive. Will you forgive me? Will I be able to save you? Only time will tell.

olympus stylus 740

i have been in a slow pursuit for a new camera for at least a year. the old fuji finepix 2650 was a tank that was slowing down with age. But with endless possibilities, i could never make the move to purchase another. A few weeks ago, the search ended. The Olympus Stylus 740 was purchased. Fry’s was nice enough to throw in a 1 GB memory card.

It had most of the features I desired - small, compact, movie w/sound, good optical zoom (5x) and too many other numerous features to count. It has some digital image stabilization which may help out my drunk hand at shows and the software that came with it provides a nice feature of being able to stitch up to 10 images together with no work from me other than a push of a button.

Here is the backyard in all its early fall splendor.
